History
The concept of a nonprofit clinic for undserserved community members in Goodhue County began in late 2008. A committee comprised of various community stakeholders was established, meeting bi-weekly to discuss the details. Momentum grew in 2009, and by August the grassroots efforts resulted in the establishment of C.A.R.E. Clinic as a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a Board of Directors. Lead staff were hired, volunteers were recruited and trained, and the clinic space was renovated. Our doors officially opened on January 26, 2010. Since then we have continued to expand our scope of services to include dental care, mental health care, and MNsure navigation services. We continually strive to meet the diverse needs of our patients, while not duplicating services offered elsewhere in the community.
